As you race through the zoo, keep your eyes peeled for amazing animals like kangaroos, emus, vultures, llamas, meerkats, howler monkeys, lemurs, and more! Finish the race with a lap around the zoo’s perimeter, where the wild atmosphere will keep you going until you cross the finish line!

Full-Day Zoo Access for Runners

Runners will enjoy exclusive full-day access to the zoo, allowing you to explore and experience all the amazing animals after completing your race.

Hydration Stations Along the Route

Stay refreshed and energised with hydration stations placed strategically along the race route, ensuring you can keep going with ease.

How do I register?

When is the Run for Wildlife 5K Race?

The race will take place on Saturday, 24th May. Get ready for a wild adventure as you run through the zoo!

What time does the event start?

8:00 am: Registration opens

9:00 am: Warm-up session begins

9:30 am: Wave 1 starts

10:00 am: Wave 2 starts

11:00 am: Zoo opens to the public

How long is the course?

The race is a 5K run through Banham Zoo, offering a unique opportunity to run past amazing animals and wildlife!

What are the event guidelines?

Minimum age: 11 years old

Buggy runners are not permitted on the course

Parking is free at Banham Zoo

Be sure to arrive early for registration and the warm-up session

How do I participate in fundraising?
