Online Ticket Purchase
Upon purchase, you will receive an email with a barcode. Print or present it on a smartphone/tablet for entry.
On-the-day bookings can be made online or at our admission desk.
General Entry Conditions
Animal visibility is not guaranteed on the day of your visit.
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Carers receive free entry when accompanying a paying guest. Proof (Blue Badge, DLA, or PIP) is required.
Banham Zoo reserves the right to refuse admission or request visitors to leave if they pose a risk to animals, staff, or other guests.
Visitors may not bring alcohol, drugs, weapons, or drones onto the premises.
Please refer to our visitor's code of conduct for further details.
Ticket Policy
Online tickets are strictly non-refundable.
Tickets are valid only for the selected date. Incorrect date tickets may be denied entry.
Changes to bookings incur a £5.00 administration fee. Contact info@zsea.org or call 01953 887771.
Flexible Guarantee
For just £3 per ticket, our Flexible Guarantee allows you to change the date of your visit to Banham Zoo without any additional charge.
Eligibility: The Flexible Guarantee is available as an optional add-on at the time of booking and applies per ticket purchased. It must be purchased alongside your original ticket(s) and cannot be added later.
Date Changes: Ticket holders may change their visit date once, free of charge. Date changes must be requested at least 12 hours before the original visit date. The new visit date must be within 6 months of the original booking date.
How to Reschedule: To change your ticket date, contact our customer service team via email or phone with your booking reference number. Changes are subject to availability on the new chosen date.
Exclusions & Restrictions: The Flexible Guarantee does not cover cancellations or refunds – only date changes. If the ticket price has increased since the original booking, no extra charge will apply. However, if the new date falls within a lower pricing period, no refund or credit will be issued. If a promotion or discount was applied to the original booking, the new date must fall within the same promotional period to retain the discount.  
Non-Transferable: The Flexible Guarantee is non-transferable and applies only to the original booking.
Early Booking Ticket Offer
Discounts apply for advance bookings until 11:59 PM the day before the visit.
Not available for purchase at the gate or on the day of the visit.
Cannot be combined with other promotions.
Non-transferable and non-refundable.
Management reserves the right to amend or withdraw this offer at any time.
Ticket Delivery
Your booking reference will be emailed immediately. Check your junk mail if not received.
Print or note your reference number for entry.
Pricing & Payment
Prices include all applicable taxes and are subject to change.
No price increases after purchase.
Gift Aid
Ticket prices include an optional donation. Opting out does not affect entry.
As a charity, purchasing a ticket with an optional donation enables us to claim Gift Aid, allowing us to receive an additional 25p per £1 donated from the UK Government.

Rainy Day Guarantee
If it rains continuously for 1 hour during customer opening hours, visitors receive a FREE return ticket valid for 4 weeks.
Free return tickets must be collected from the retail team.
Applies to peak, high demand, standard and value all-day tickets only. Excludes school bookings.
A valid ID matching the original booking is required for re-entry.
Banham Zoo reserves the right to amend or withdraw this offer at any time.
Accessibility & Special Assistance
Information on accessibility, wheelchair/stroller rentals, or priority entry for guests with disabilities is available upon request.
Only registered assistance animals are permitted. Guests must provide valid documentation upon entry.
Lost Property & Liability
Visitors can report lost items to guest services. Lost property will be retained for a limited period.
Banham Zoo is not responsible for lost or stolen property or injuries caused by non-compliance with rules.
Photography & Media Use
Visitors may take photos for personal use but cannot use them for commercial purposes without permission.
Banham Zoo may take photographs for promotional purposes. Visitors who do not wish to be photographed should inform staff.

Membership Terms and Conditions
Validity of Membership
Membership is valid for one year from the date of purchase or renewal.
Membership starts on the date of purchase, rather than the date of redemption in store.
Lost or Replacement Membership Cards
If a membership card is lost, a nominal charge of £5 will be applied for a replacement.
Annual Pass Cards
Members must carry their valid membership card when visiting Banham Zoo and Africa Alive. Admission will not be granted without it, and no refunds will be issued for non-entry.
Only the person named on the membership card is permitted entry; membership cards are non-transferable.
Use of Bring a Friend for Free Tickets
How to use: No booking required. Simply present your ticket to our admissions team upon arrival at the zoo, along with your membership card.
Each ticket provides one complimentary entry, valid for either an adult or child’s ticket.
This ticket is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other form of compensation.
Not for resale. Unauthorised resale may result in refusal of entry.

To authenticate the bring a friend for free ticket, you must present your membership card upon arrival at the zoo.
Please ensure you bring your valid complimentary ticket with you, as it must be shown for entry. Without it, admission will be charged.
Partner Zoo Access
Access to partner zoos requires the ZSEA membership card to be shown at admission.
Only one free entry per membership is permitted at each partner zoo per calendar year.
Refunds and Cancellations
Once purchased, ZSEA annual passes cannot be refunded or cancelled during the 12-month period.
If the zoo is closed due to circumstances beyond our control, members are not entitled to a refund.
Children
Children must always be accompanied by an adult.
Coffee Rewards Programme
Members are entitled to four free hot drinks per year via the coffee card rewards programme.
The bingo card method is used for redeeming free drinks. Members must purchase drinks 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9 to qualify for a free drink.
Exclusions: Some beverages may be excluded from the rewards programme.
The bingo card method must be followed for redemption to qualify for free hot drinks.
Membership card must be valid for the drinks to be claimed and will not be carried over if the membership card has expired.
We reserve the right to amend or remove this offer at any time.
Animal Experience Reward
Members receive two free animal experiences per year as part of the Animal Experience reward card programme.
Redemption method: Use the bingo card method to earn rewards. Members must purchase experiences 1, 2, 4, 5 to qualify for a free giraffe feed (square 3) and a free experience (square 6).
Membership card must be valid for the experiences to be claimed and will not be carried over if the membership card has expired.
Availability: Free experiences are available between September and March.
Exclusions: The following animal experiences are excluded from the rewards programme: Big Cat Experience, Tropical House Experience, Tiger Experience, Junior Keeper Experience
Free experiences are subject to availability, and booking in advance is recommended.
We reserve the right to amend or remove this offer at any time.
Important Notes
Banham Zoo & Africa Alive are closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
Membership benefits cannot be combined with any other promotions or discounts.
All members are subject to the normal conditions of entry at Banham Zoo and Africa Alive.

Visitor Code of Conduct
Our Visitor Code is in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. Please take a moment to familiarise yourself with the following guidelines:
Safety Barriers
Barriers are in place for your safety – please do not climb, lean over, or go under them.
Do Not Feed the Animals
All animals receive specially prepared diets, and unsuitable food can cause distress.
Respect the Animals
You are visiting the animals’ home – please respect their space and avoid behaviour that may cause them distress.
Zero Tolerance for Abuse
Abusive behaviour toward staff will not be tolerated. Any verbal or physical abuse may result in immediate action, including removal from the premises. Please treat our team with respect.
Children Must Be Accompanied
All children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times for their safety and the welfare of the animals.
Scooters, Tricycles Roller Skates, and Ball Games
For safety reasons, scooters, tricycles, roller skates, roller shoes, and balls are not permitted in the zoo.
Selfie Sticks
To ensure the welfare of our animals, selfie sticks must not be used beyond public barriers.
Drones
For the safety of both animals and visitors, the use of drones in or over the zoo is strictly prohibited.
Smoking and Vaping
Banham Zoo is a smoke-free and vape-free zone. Smoking and vaping are only permitted outside the park. Re-admittance is allowed.
Dogs and Pets
Banham Zoo is committed to being an accessible destination for all. If you plan to visit with an assistance dog, please review our Assistance Dog Policy in advance.
To bring an assistance dog, notify our Customer Services team at least 48 hours before your visit via email at info@zsea.org or by calling01953 887771 (ext. 260).
Important:
Dogs must not be left unattended in cars, even with ventilation and water, as shade cannot be guaranteed. This applies year-round.
Any visitor leaving a dog in their car will be asked to leave.
Only assistance dogs are permitted inside the zoo (following the above guidelines). No other pets are allowed.
Commercial Filming & Photography
All commercial filming and photography must be approved by zoo management before your visit.
General Conduct & Consideration for Others
We ask all visitors to be considerate of other guests by:
Keeping noise levels appropriate.
Following queueing systems where required.
Respecting staff instructions and signage throughout the zoo.
Littering & Recycling
Please help us care for the environment by disposing of all litter responsibly. Recycling bins are available throughout the zoo.
Emergency Procedures
In case of an emergency, please follow staff instructions and proceed to designated safe areas. If you require assistance, please approach the nearest staff member or visit our retail shop.
Accessibility & Guest Assistance
If you require assistance during your visit, our Customer Services team is happy to help. Accessibility guides are available upon request to ensure you have the best experience possible. We have a Changing Places unit accessible with a RADAR key or a key code available from the retail shop.
