Our work experience placements offer students the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of wildlife conservation, while gaining hands-on experience with our passionate Animal Management team.
Whether you’re studying an animal-related course (Level 3 National Diploma, A levels, or higher) and are aged 18 or over, we invite you to join us in supporting our mission to protect wildlife and create lasting change for the future of our planet.
Our placements are offered in two formats: block release (Monday to Friday for a minimum of two weeks) or one-day placements on Saturdays or Sundays over a minimum of 10 weeks.

Who is eligible for a work experience placements?
Our placements are available to students aged 18 and over who are currently studying an animal-related course, such as a Level 3 National Diploma or A levels, or higher.
What will I be doing during my work experience?
You’ll be involved in a range of tasks, including cleaning animal enclosures, preparing diets, and assisting with animal care – all under the supervision of our expert keepers. It’s a hands-on role where you’ll gain valuable experience while supporting our animal welfare and conservation efforts.
How long are the placements?
Placements are available in two formats: Block release: Monday to Friday, for a minimum of two weeks. One-day placements: Saturdays or Sundays, for a minimum of 10 weeks.
Will I get paid for my work experience?
Work experience placements are unpaid. However, you’ll gain invaluable hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of the animal care industry, all while contributing to our wider mission of wildlife protection.
Can I apply if I’m not currently studying animal care?
Unfortunately, at this time, we are only able to accept students who are currently studying an animal-related course at Level 3 or higher.
